Diagnostic Interviewer

JOB TITLE: Diagnostic Interviewer
LOCATION: Henry Hood Center
DEPARTMENT: Research

JOB SUMMARY:
Conduct structured mental health diagnostic interviews in complex populations, conduct interviews about prescription medication and drug abuse and misuse, and cooperate with and implement processes for quality and fidelity monitoring. Work closely with project manager to monitor staffing needs, participate in site trainings and ongoing quality assurance, assist in performance management, and provide administrative support as needed.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Working knowledge of diagnostic structured interviews such as PRISM, SADS, SCID, or K-SADS
Working knowledge of 1) the etiology and diagnosis of mental illness and addictions; and 2) DSM-V diagnoses and diagnostic criteria
Excellent computer skills
Excellent communication skills
Excellent interviewing skills
Working knowledge of research methodology.
Organized, detail-oriented, self-directed, and dependable.
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master?s degree in psychology (clinical or counseling), social work, OR Nurse Practitioner degree in psychiatry/mental health, or equivalent.
Clinical and diagnostic experience in mental health populations.
Working in a research setting following standardized protocols to collect data
Conducting structured psychiatric diagnostic interviews with a variety of age groups and types of illness
Working as part of a team

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
