Position Description:
1.
Must know and follow all plant, departmental and job safety rules.
2.
Must know, understand and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of and follow all applicable safe operating procedures and rules including housekeeping and PPE requirements.
3.
Must be capable of performing routine inspections in the department including safety/ housekeeping or any other inspection deemed necessary by the department Supervisor, Foreman and Department Manager.
4.
Must exercise proper lifting techniques and procedures at all times.
5.
Must actively participate in the pre-shift safety huddle, pre-shift stretching and the safety suggestion programs.
6.
Must participate in the plant lockout/tagout program, confined space program, and must review all plant visual work instructions pertaining to the position.
7.
Trained in department emergency and evacuation procedures and knowledge of use of emergency equipment.
8.
Communicate to supervisor problems or areas of concern.
Must be able to recognize and report all accidents to eliminate reoccurrence.
9.
Understands all safety devices on the Mill equipment and ensures that they are functioning properly at all times.
10.
Understand the general Mill process and how it directly affects Mill and Plant product quality.
11.
Must be able to collect and perform laboratory testing on both raw material and finished product samples.
12.
Ability to recognize equipment malfunctions or unusual performance immediately and report malfunctions to Supervisor and maintenance department.
13.
Assist maintenance personnel with the service and repair of mill equipment.
14.
Understand the basics of process flow and be able to make changes to the process through a computer interface.
15.
Understand basic concepts in Board production and how it relates to the Mill operations.
16.
Responsible for the accurate inventory control of raw materials and bin inventories.
17.
Operation of heavy mobile equipment is 50% of the position (Front end loader, excavator and skid steer).
18.
Complete daily equipment, production and operation reports.
19.
Demonstrate the ability to cooperate with other workers in the areas of safety, quality, production/maintenance and understands importance of completing assigned tasks and their relationships to other requirements.
20.
Demonstrate the ability to be adaptable and flexible in performing other duties.
21.
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
22.
Perform any other duties as directed by the Mill Supervisor, Foreman or Manager.
Qualifications 1.
Able to work in a manufacturing setting in a safe manner and follow all plant safety rules and practices.
2.
Maintain a high standard for housekeeping within the work area.
3.
Computer skills needed for data entry and reporting.
Process will involve quality data or require comments related to the production operation.
4.
Read and complete documented inspection procedures.
5.
Follow instructions on printed work orders to complete assigned tasks.
6.
Computer skills preferred to review or revise documents in Microsoft Office Programs.
7.
Navigate Microsoft Outlook for work related email.
8.
Ability to learn to operate plant equipment.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
